Advising founding directors since the company was formed in 2004 to the admission to AIM in April 2006 with a listing valued at £38million. Following the installation of Evolution Capital Associates Peter Richards as CEO and Andrew Parker as Financial Director in 2004. Nigel Cook continued to act in the role of advisor to the management team until admission to AIM in 2006.
Mobestar a mobile entertainment company with a unique range of video-based mobile technology and content solutions providing hosted services over mobile phones that can generate revenues for businesses raised £5.4m in funding to develop its mobile technology development. Mobestar’s products support billing, payment methods and messaging services. The individual products are broadly standardised and include Mdate, a mobile dating product, and Mspace, a mobile equivalent of MySpace.
Solutions enable network operators and brands to develop, deliver and market innovative entertainment services directly to mobile phone users over 2G and 3G networks. Early adopter Gaydar uses the phone mDate interface to replicate the look and feel of Gaydar.co.uk, giving its 1.6 million users the ability to access location-based services and change user profiles and preferences while on the go. It also helps Gaydar to target users with bespoke marketing and services according to their geographic location.
In April 2006 Mobestar joined London’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) with an introductory listing. On admission to AIM at an opening price of £1 per share in issue, the business was valued at £38 million.
